See the Sites

In downtown Victoria, there are lots of different places to explore. The historic Empress hotel and the parliament buildings are central to downtown overlook the Inner Harbour. If you’re exploring these spots in the summer, there are often a variety of different buskers and vendors where you can buy local indigenous art and try out local fare. If you’re lucky, you may even spot the well known busker who plays the violin dressed as Darth Vader. In between the Empress and the Parliament Buildings is the Royal BC Museum, which offers interesting exhibits for all ages.

While all of these options are kid friendly, kids might particularly enjoy Miniature World and the Victoria Bug Zoo, also central to downtown. Once you’ve explored a bit, hop on a water taxi to Fisherman’s Wharf. Here you can grab an ice cream and explore the colourful boat houses.
