Unique rock formations were formed from the last ice-age millions of years ago. If you take the Juan De Fuca Highway from Sooke to Port Renfrew, you’ll find several hidden gems along the way: French Beach, Mystic Beach, Sombrio Beach, China Beach, and Botanical Beach, which is home to amazing tide pools.
GALLOPING GOOSE TRAIL
Galloping Goose Trail is a 60-kilometer trail was originally a freight railway line built during the First World War. It connects downtown Victoria to the Sooke Potholes. It is the perfect destination for a hike, bike ride, or long walk. Cross the Selkirk Trestle and stare into the depths of Todd Creek from the Todd Trestle after strolling through lush forests and stopping for a little picnic at Matheson or Thetis Lake.
