Where is Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina located?
The resort is located at 6971 West Coast Rd., Sooke, B.C., V9Z 0V1.
How far is the resort from Victoria / the nearest airport?
We’re about 35–45 minutes by car from downtown Victoria.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM - We will contact you once your vacation rental is ready via email with instructions on how to access your rental.
Check-out is by 10:00 AM.
How do you guarantee my booking?
Reservations are made through our rental management company, True Key Vacations. Upon reservation, a 50% deposit is required via major credit card. The remaining balances are due 7-days prior to check-in.
Please note, guests must be at least 25 years old to rent a vacation rental at Sooke Harbour Resort.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations up to 14-days before arrival will receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations made within 14-days of arrival, will receive 50% of the deposit back.
Please note, full payment is due 7-days prior to arrival, no refund after that. There are also no refunds for late arrivals, no shows or early departures.
What is the smoking policy?
Smoking is NOT permitted inside any vacation rental property. Designated smoking areas will be marked, if not, smoking will be permitted outside. Please be respectful and use appropriate containers for ashes and cigarette butts.
Do you offer free Wi-Fi?
Yes — complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Is there housekeeping service?
There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Housekeeping and property checks are conducted upon check out.
Are pets allowed?
Yes — we have a few vacation rental suites that are designated as pet-friendly.
Please see the policies section of our vacation home listings or contact us directly for more information on available pet-friendly rentals. Please note, guests who bring pets into unauthorized units will face a charge of $500 to deep clean the accommodation following their stay.
What happens if damages or missing items occur when I am staying?
The guest must report promptly any loss or damage to the unit or its contents to the True Key Vacations team by calling 1-250-347-2992. The guest will pay for all damage incurred while the guest is staying in the property, even if the offender is being hosted by the guest.
Is parking available on-site?
Yes — each rental comes with a covered carport for one vehicle. Additional paid parking is available in our overflow parking lot.
What kinds of accommodations are offered?
We offer spacious fully furnished townhome-style vacation rentals (2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units).
What’s included in each rental unit?
Each unit features a gourmet fully-equipped kitchen, private bedrooms, in-suite washer & dryer, private balconies (often with harbour views), BBQ, living/dining area — essentially a “home-away-from-home.”
Are there shared amenities on the property?
Yes! We have the following amenities located onsite:
- Two outdoor hot tubs

On-site kayak, SUP & bike rentals (and tours) through West Coast Outdoor Adventures
- A small store/retail section for essentials and fishing accessories
Does the resort have a marina?
Yes — we have a private marina with 100 slips, one of the finest in the region.
What size boats can the marina accommodate?
The marina accommodates vessels up to 50 feet (15 metres).
What activities can I do directly from the resort?
You'll find many activities at our Resort or withiin a few minutes drive! Charter fishing, whale-watching tours, kayaking, paddle-boarding, biking, and guided tours. Zip-lining, rainforest hikes and coastal/beach explorations are also close by.
Can I have fish I catch processed nearby?
Yes — the resort is (or has been) a drop-off location for St. Jean’s Fish Depot, where you can have fresh catch smoked, custom-cut, or prepared to go. (Note: the drop-off is closed between October and April)
Is it possible to stay with a large group or family?
Absolutely. Our 2- and 3-bedroom units are ideal for families or groups, offering space, full kitchens, and multiple sleeping areas.
Is public transportation convenient from the resort?
It’s possible — but having a vehicle is strongly recommended. The nearest grocery stores and many local attractions are an easy drive away.
